Wedding Veil Fabrics
We create our veils from a wide range of fabrics and here we will describe to you the maximum width of each of our fabrics in our veil range.
Nylon tulle – This man made tulle is available in a large range of colours and our nylon tulle is a softer fabric then many of the tulles you will try on at the bridal stores. The maximum width of our nylon tulle is 300cm wide.
Soft Silk tulle – Silk Veils are luxurious in nature. When a wedding veil is created in Silk Tulle it has a very soft drape and therefore there will be no body in the veil. Due to the delicate nature of soft silk tulle it can either have a cut edge or a narrow lace edge. It cannot have an edging with beading or pearls as they will catch on the silk.
We have three ranges of soft silk tulle, which offers a wide range of colours, width and ranges. We stock three ranges to give you the widest choice or colour palette.
Ivory and white are the most popular colour choice for a soft silk tulle wedding veil. Its maximum width is 180 cm wide and has a weight of 22 grams.
French Silk tulle with a soft finish is available in 15 colours. Its maximum width is 175cm wide and has a weight of 12 grams.
Italian Silk tulle with a soft finish available in 6 colours shades including white, porcelain, cream, and pearl. The maximum width is 140 cm and the weight is 20 grams.
Firm Silk Tulle is a fine silk with a stiff finish. (84% Silk 16% Polyamide). We have two ranges of firm silk tulle available. It is available in six colours and it has maximum width is 180 cm and has a weight of 20 grams.
Our second range is Pure Silk True silk bobbinet. Finest and lightest non-stretch quality. It is available in three colours; White, Pale Ivory, Medium Ivory, Black. The maximum width is 280cm.
If you are considering a veil created in the wider width of firm silk tulle the price is approximately double the cost of the narrow width of silk.
Firm silk tulle can have a wider lace edging added to the veil as it can support the weight of a heavier weave. It is also possible to have beaded detail on a firm silk tulle veil.
Point D’Esprit is a 100% cotton tulle available in White and Black. The maximum width available to create is 130 cm.
Shimmer Lurex Tulle, is a tulle with a slight elastic quality and a beautiful gold or silver thread running through the fabric. The maximum width of this fabric is 150cm.
Phantom tulle – This is a man made polyester tulle. It has a slightly different feeling to the other man made nylon. The Phantom tulle offer us a wider range of basic colours with shades in White, porcelain, cream, ivory and beige.
