Visionary Veils know expensive weddings can be. No matter how you plan, save and budget the costs can be huge. A large percentage of every wedding budget is spent on feeding our lovely family and friends but sure we wouldn’t have it any other way. I remember when I was planning my own wedding I must have recalculated the budget about 10 times. In fact my husband Danny was slowly losing the will to live as every trip back from a supplier usually started with the words
” I am afraid I have spent a little more than we budgeted for….”
This is why once a year Visionary Veils offer one luck bride the chance to win the wedding veil of her dreams. Once the prize draw has been made I love picking up the phone to call our lucky winner. It is so amazing to hear the shock and surprise as our luck bride gets the great news. It really makes my day 🙂
Victoria was our first prize draw winner and that made her wedding veil even more special. Victoria had a beautiful silk gown with swarovski detail on the shoulder. Her dress was contemporary and sexy and I wanted to create a wedding veil to match.
I created a swarovski wedding veil of two layers in an ivory crystal tulle which gleamed in the sunlight and complemented the silk shine of her gown.
To complement the detail on Victoria’s dress I designed a flower petal pattern in clear swarovski oval and round elements. This beading detail was on the tailpiece of Victoria wedding veil leaving the edge of the wedding veil cut edge. Simple and stunning.
“We had an amazing wedding day…..it was more than we could have imagined it would ever be. It has been lovely looking back at the photos and the special moments which were captured in film. The veil was beautiful and everyone remarked on it, especially when watching back the video, you can hear everyone say “Wow!” as I walk past and then hear the jewels running along the metal grating! Winning it was a great surprise and it was fantastic having such a special item matched perfectly to my wedding dress. It will be cherished for a long time and I would hope I could pass it on in years to come. The material came out beautiful in the photos, especially inside the church. It added an extra sparkling to the day. ” Victoria

Dawn was our prize draw winner at The Decadence Vintage Wedding Fair and was overjoyed with the news that she has been our winner.
Dawn visited our studio and revealed her wedding plans. Dawn was having a wedding dress created by Joanne Ferguson ( Newtowards) in a beautiful violet shade. At first Dawn had thought she would choose a birdcage veil to complement her wedding dress but we started experimenting with the different veil shapes and styles and Dawn fell in love with a soft silk wedding veil.
Visionary Veils can create soft silk wedding veils in 15 different colours and I was really excited when Dawn revealed that black was her favourite colour. I could not wait to make the veil as I thought it might encourage other brides to follow their desires and have a coloured wedding theme.
I created a two layer wedding veil in black soft silk tulle with a cut edge. The wedding veil was waist length and the cut edge was decorated with 15 clear pearl drop crystals. The body of the veil was decorated with 150 clear swarovski crystals. A truly unique Wedding Veil, Your Wedding Veil, Your Way.

If you love great nails then Debbie from Dazzle me with your tips is someone to watch. Debbie did Dawn’s nails for her wedding day and made a very special nail for her ring finger from her mum 21st birthday necklace. This was a really special way of incorporating a family memento in her wedding day.
